THAT ICON MEME

I gakked this meme from allie_meril

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

Allie picked the following:
( 5 icons. )

- spiky heels
- hideous spider and babies (I'm cowering in fear from that thing, btw.)
- lord of the manpiles
- This McFly fellow. Who is he?
- retro

Spiky heels was an icon with a definite S&M bent that I snagged from Photobucket. I liked it because it was unusual, eye-catching and I thought it would be perfect to use when I'm feeling a little sadistic.

The hideous spider and babies also came from Photobucket's public icons under the category "spiders". I went there specifically looking for spider pictures that I could iconize because I have this sort of fear/fascination thing with spiders that I'm grasping to get under control. I figured I could use a few spider icons for when I'm freaked out by them. Using a particularly ugly spider icon when I'm feeling all creepy-crawly helps me to deal with my arachnophobia somehow.

Isn't "Lord of the Manpiles" cute? It still makes me laugh and I've had it for at least two months. It was made by one of my flist members who has a particularly fantastic sense of humour, drbillbongo. On top of the manpile is Fabio Cannavaro of Italy and Real Madrid, who won the "Best Player" award at the previous World Cup 2006.

Hahahaha! "McFly" is the name of a unique "boy band" from England. I'm not sure if they are actually really gay. I don't think so, but they use a definitely slashy shtick in their act. They do covers of some Queen songs as well as other stuff. I quite like them. They are refreshingly natural and not at all afraid to be honest in interviews.

I love "Retro". Again, it comes from Photobucket and I made an icon of it. For me, it's all about the Seventies. I love the Seventies and once in awhile I like to use this icon when I feel all nostalgic
