I started writing this story for nienna_weeper's birthday, which was on July 24th! Happy Belated Birthday, Nienna! I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write this. It has four chapters, and I am still working on the last one! But I decided to post it weekly on Fridays, which should give me enough time to finish that final chapter. LOL! Thanks. I've got three chapters finished out of four. I'll post the next one next Friday. I'm sorry to do that but I want to give myself time to finish the last chapter! I can't believe it's taken me so long to do!

A very interesting beginning - I like the way you have Caranthir being so formal, even stand-offish, towards the Haladin until he remembers his horse!

Thank you, Lois. I tried to make Caranthir a certain type of character. I'd like to have done more with him, but it's not that long a story. Maybe some day I'll develop him into a really interesting guy and write him into a much longer story.
