It's weird how fic Don is always snapping Charlie's head off, because I can't remember him doing it in the show at all.

I suggest you go back to your DVD's. Look at Season 1, Uncertainty Principle. (That is the one that comes to mind first.) Don does snap at Charlie. Tells him to get out of his "Ivory Tower." As to the snapping his head off, I would think Don and Amita both would be "SLIGHTLY PISSED" for not being there earlier. Or at the very least concerned for not being there sooner. It is not biting Charlie's head off. It is irritation. And when people are irritated, they do snap back!

I like Robin, so I thought she needed a bit of story time here.
