UGH, my precious EClare. I think this was the first icon I found of them. Or my second? I don't know, all I know is I rewatched this scene over and over and over again, so in love with their feelings and their reactions to each other and how she backs him up against a pole and they are all up in each others' faces just happy and laughing. It was this moment that cemented them for me. Then they pull back and she's all flustered but smiling and he just has this......really gentle smirk. Essentially, EClare for life, plus the lighting is preeeetty.
PFF, I remember I needed an "ugh" icon and I stumbled upon this...somewhere. I don't know, I just LOVE Simba's face and I will always remember this scene, his little, "you're messing up my mane!" because I always reply "what mane, Simba?" He's such an adorable little lion and I knew I needed more Lion King icons. Plus just the little disgruntled look on his face, oh Simba.
I need to rewatch this movie like yesterday. This is one of my favorite movies ever and I realized it was a crime when I had no icons of it. And then I found this and it's my ship and flying and a dragon, and that's basically everything I like all in one. This scene is so beautiful and when I was having panic attacks and didn't even know I had them, I listened to this on the score and it calmed me down, so I always have strong feelings about it.
SIMON'S LIFE. Okay, no, I will talk about my selection process for this one, I remember there were a bunch all similar and I had to choose. It took me like ten minutes, so stressful. There was another I loved, but this expression-- it's just far too perfect, see. It's the one I was looking for and I just couldn't NOT go without this face in my iconset. Simon and his little putting his hand to his face was my favorite part of the "holy shit jayne has a statue" bit, save for the punchline. So good.
LEXXY'S ART AMIRIGHT?! So I found this back when I first got into Homestuck and thought it was the most beautiful anything and had to icon it and use it because I needed a Dave/Jade icon. I needed it like burning, because I love them so much. And I danced and sang and it was my favorite fanart for a long time. Now I almost want to replace it, because there are others I like better, but I think there's nothing quite as perfect as the subtlety of Lexxy's art. I am rambling. I don't know, there are other fanart pieces I like better but as an ICON, this is just flawless.
I HAVE TOO MANY HIMYM ICONS AND I AM NOT SORRY. This scene. There were a lot of things that the writers did wrong in season five, but this was not one of them. If she tells you you're an idiot, it means I love you. I KNEW I wanted one of this scene, there are so many flawless scenes between them, and this one, I knew I had to have it, and I had to have it with the words on it. It's just beautiful and wonderful, and it's before everything goes downhill, so I will hold it in my arms and just sing.
