silhouettedwing is in London so I'm posting results Lucky duck, cold weather XD
Since one participant dropped out, only one icon will be eliminated. Tie for Special Category, but the other icon tied has won something so to make it fair, the other icon will win Special Category.

Well, some users prefer having critiques unscreened so they have refer to the unscreened comment instead of checking the critiques from their e-mail inbox. But no matter what, your screened comment that is asking for critiques will be screened so your identity will still be protected. I hope that came out right :/

LESSER QUALITY VOTES;
- The concept is unique with the cropping of the image and use of a bubble. However, there is too much contrast in the image and the first row of text is somewhat hard to read (maybe use a bigger font?). The bubble should also be more white than blue in color so, that the text stands out more.
- Though the text makes the icon humorous, the text bubble takes up too much and is rather awkwardly placed (it looks as if it's sticking right out of his mouth). Maybe moving it to the right would have made it less intrusive.

FAVOURITE VOTES;
- This is a wonderful icon. The maker cropped the subjects well, and adds a lot of creativity with the speech bubble :D

It's commonly practiced in icontests that had icon-makers winning first place three times and to tell them to give it a break.
It would have been a shame for you to drop out actually XD

FAVOURITE VOTES;
- Nice colouring but the cropping seems off. The text was done well although the tiny text seems slightly odd.
- This is a really gorgeous icon! The coloring is really nice, and the text usage is used very well :D
- The colors are so soft & the image fits perfectly with the lyrics from the song which makes the composition exquisite.
- Wonderful cropping, text placement, and texture use. A very nice entry all around.
- The light texture adds appeal to the icon, and the font used for the lyrics fit the mood of the icon.

LESSER QUALITY VOTES;
- The brush doesn't seem to fit, the text placement could have been much better as some of it is in places that it should be in.. The cropping is too close and thus, the brush makes it look too zoomed in. Without the brush would have been better.
- The crop is a tad bit off. The eye is a bit cut off which makes it look off. If the maker would've picked a picture that wasn't so zoomed out the crop would work really well :D

FAVOURITE ICON VOTES;
- Lovely cropping of the image and the bright vivid coloring makes the image stand out. The font of the text as well as the green brush behind it ties it into the image.
- Very nice text and texture use. ^^
- The colours are very vibrant, the image is clear and the crop is just right. The text and texture placement are also done well in that they don't distract from the subject.
- The crop of Lilimon is very nice, and even with the lyrics and texture added to it, the icon doesn’t look like it’s cluttered.
