The cat whom my husband and I have had the pleasure of loving for the last 3.5 years after rescuing as an adult from a shelter in Oklahoma, passed away tonight. I found him about 2 hours ago on the bathroom rug. The only indicators were that he was hiding this morning instead of rushing into the bathroom after John's shower (he loved having water

I think even worse than not having him around is having to see him dead. I'll never get that image out of my head and of course I feel absolutely horrible for not being there with him in his last minutes :(
