Sam opened his eyes and sat up when Quorra did. There was a sense of urgency to the way he looked around the room. He knew exactly who he was looking for, though, and exactly where she was. He did the exact same thing every hour on the hour since Flynn finished with her. He'd barely left her side, except to get his shoulder bandaged. The rest of his time was spent sleeping off his own injury, even though he hadn't really done much in the way of sleeping. He wanted to make sure that he was right there when she was back online. He smiled when his eyes finally settled on the ISO. It was clear that he'd been worried. "How do you feel?"

Quorra took in deep shaky breaths, trying to calm herself. She drew her legs to her chest and just breathed. Rebooting was never a pleasant experience. At length, her eyes fell on Sam and she took in what had been said.

"Like all my circuits are fried," she admitted tiredly, resting her head against her legs. "But alive. And yourself?"

"The entire right side of my body is throbbing, and my shoulder feels like it's on fire, but I'll live." Sam winced and put his hand on his shoulder, and then got up to sit next to the ISO. "I thought we'd lost you," he said quietly, letting his hand drop and keeping his eyes on the floor.

Quorra watched him for a moment, wincing in sympathy. She uncurled from her position and gently rested her hand over his. "You're stuck with me a little longer," she said with a soft smile. "I'm sorry you had to get into that...Has Flynn stitched you up yet?"

She's good at stitching! And she'll get to see Sam shirtless. Gem's a lucky bastard.
