Hiii Jesse! I was just reading this entry and had a comment...basically, I don't know what I think about this whole Terri Schiavo thing. It's the parents word against the husband's word. It's impossible at this point to know what Terri actually wants. The main reason that I think I'm against removing the feeding tube and letting her die is because I don't know how much pain it's causing her. If she's starving to death and she feels the effects of that then I think it's a horrible idea. However, you have to remember that she might actually want to die. I know people who have come very close to dying, who have been on feeding tubes and had false airways and they came out of it alive but said if they are ever in that position again they want to die. So it's not impossible for Terri to have said she wants to die if that ever happened to her. My other thing was that you said that liberals freak out when we try to execute a killer...the reason I don't agree with the death penalty is because innocent people are put to death because ( ... )

Hullooooooooooo Amanda. I pretty much agree with you on all of this. If we were sure she wanted to die itd be one thing.... i still wouldnt agree with it on religious grounds, but if ppl were sure itd be a totally different story. the fact that there is even some doubt should be enough to keep her alive... just like in a court case. and as for the death penalty i agree that the system is flawed. i think the death penalty should only be given if there is a confession, or multiple witnesses, or conclusive DNA evidence or something like that. if there is even a hint of a doubt then we should not give the death penalty. but there are ppl who think the death penalty is wrong no matter what and that is what im referring to here. and come on, you know i like to paint all liberals with the same brush... its fun. mwahahahahahaha.
