Finally Home (for a short while)
Friday night I returned from a whirlwind of a vacation which started in Roma for 4 days, a few days of class in Verona followed by Amsterdam for 2.5, London for 2.5, Berlin for 2 and Sardegna for 4. I'll post some more updates after I get some rest! -

Biking around Veneto
Olive trees are fascinating: their growth is entirely unstructured. With several twists and bends and splits in the branches-the bark is wildly textured. The trees are not particularly tall, about the height of an apple tree; they conceal their longevity. Many olive trees in this region are ~200 years old. I thought about you tonight. I'm pretty sure the time I spent with you was the best time I've spent and I'm fairly certain I've never had a better friend than what I had in you.
