the hell with lane hall

I just got run out of a common space in one of my grad buildings because of unwritten norms that it's not a place to work all day. One, that is dumb. Two, I don't have keys to work anywhere else. Three, Ann Arbor Art Fair is making it impossible to get into most buildings with computers

? A common space in a graduate building isn't for working? What the hell is it for, then---not being used?

But what if ANYONE EVER wanted to have a meeting in there? Despite the fact that they can sign up for them or just, I dunno, tell me to leave so they can have a meeting? *sigh*
