Today I watched the system work, and it made me proud.

I also watched the system be subverted by an un-elected official, and it made me sick.

Wow, interesting. I will note that it wasn't "in response"; the article you linked to says that this move happened before the vote.

You're correct - all the articles I read today have started to blend together.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a terrible idea. :)
