Nov 12, 2010 01:30

This is actually Thursday's entry. Mom was more confused tonight and needed extra care and TLC. I couldn't get on to post it until now. Hope you like how it turned out. Today's word was 'trick'.

Title: Nothing Up His Sleeve
Author: Digitalwave
Fandom: Supernatural
Character: Dean
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 100 words
Spoilers: Gen series spoilers for all aired episodes, inc 6.07
Summary: He keeps juggling as fast as he can...

Dean looked out through the wind shield; the world unreal, ghostly, smeared and running through the pounding rain. Nothing seemed real anymore, his time with Ben and Lisa most of all.

It’d only been a few weeks yet, already it seemed like a dream. A trick his mind played to keep from breaking in the year Sam was gone.

And, it is a trick, the most fucked up, cosmic trick of all. He may have Sam sitting right next to him as they roll on through the night. But, his brother, the man he misses like hell? He’s still gone.
