I have really struggled my entire life with balance and coordination and I could never do all the things that other kids took for granted - catching a ball, ( Read more... )

I think you did bloody amazing, frankly!! Sheer determination not only during the race in loads of pain, but the fact you really kept at your training when far too many people just do a couple of runs and say that's enough (for some lucky bastards it is, for others - they're the ones that the St John's vultures caught!) Your starting point for this was miles behind everyone else metaphorically. I'd say you deserve a bloody medal but you got a woody one so that is close enough ;-)

Your mum was telling me how very very proud she was of you too before we all met up. Always good to make one's mother proud!!

Lots of luck towards your next goal!

You have my complete admiration for doing something I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do. Doesn't matter whether you ran, walked, hopped or crawled, you did it!

Well done Suzi! I have not doubt you'll achieve your next goals - and I'm also sure you'll continue shrinking in weight size!

I've only managed to run up to 6 or 7km - and it took me ages to do 5km without stopping for a few walks. I'd love to get back into running next year, so if you ever want a running partner let me know!
