Westeros 14/14

Everyone has a coping method. Sometimes it’s a puzzle, an unanswered question or a philosophical riddle; sometimes it’s stories made up in one’s own heads.

The Scott children have Westeros. It’s always there, in their imaginings, in their daydreams, in their nightmares. The game has a magnetism to it, a sort of sick darkness that pulls at one to ( Read more... )

I just finished this after reading all day and HOLY MOLY. I don't even know what to make of it. It's simple and deep at the same time. The fic is very much you, but at the same time, it isn't. There are times where I recognise your style, and there are times where I wonder if this is some new author I haven't read anything of. Don't get me wrong: it's not negative, not at all. You're welome ~

It could've been the language, but it's not that. At least I don't think so. It's hard to put a finger on it. It might be the style of the fic and the writing, the plot, the fandom... Could be anything. It actually took me a couple of sentences to understand "ken", but other than that, I didn't notice anything grammatically different. You might think it's fucked up, but I'd say it's in a very logical and interesting way.

I can only agree with you. I love Theon, I think he's a great character. If it weren't for the fact that he fucked up things a bit in the north (book verse, soon to be screen verse), he would've been my favourite character in all of Westeros and the whole A Song of Ice and Fire world. Your fic just made me sympathise and care for Theon even more than I already did.
