So far, everyone's telling me that it's celebrated by giving your dad a gift..

I wouldn't be able to celebrate it either, but it sounds like a nice holiday to participate in.

I don't really have anybody I could call a father, which leaves me at a loss over how I could participate, if at all.

Maybe I could give a gift to someone else's Father?

Really? [ Well, Dante said his Gramps counts, so... ] What about a grandfather? Or just someone who took care of you like a father? Do you have someone like that..?
