Charlie & Mark: A gift for Oakstone730 (Remix of a remix)
If you're a Harry/Draco fan and don't follow hd_remix, you're doing it wrong. (Ha!)
Having said that, the remix for a story of mine was posted a while ago, and I read it immediately. Then, I wrote a review of it on my phone that I didn't share with anyone...
Mainly because I was so in love with it, that it sort of made me cry. And, I just don't think anything I wrote could ever be enough to how I feel about it, and how awesome the author was to the voice she gave Harry in the 'remix' on my story.
The story of mine that was remixed is called: Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world... written for hd_fan_fair in 2013.
The most wonderful ever Oakstone730 re-wrote the story (remixed it!) with Harry's POV and it is AMAZING. It's called: Casablanca.
You should definitely read it, if you have read mine. You should def. read it, if you haven't read mine...although the whole Mark and Charlie thing might confuse you just a little...but not really...anyway.
So here's what I wrote about CASABLANCA on my phone:
So my remix posted a while ago, and though I left a lengthy comment for it....I really have not had the chance to actually dwell on it....the short version: I love it. The second short version: not sure I deserve it.
The original story is definitely one of my favourite fic I ever wrote. Beside that.... the story captures something I could never actually put into words... Draco's insecurities, discovering new surroundings, and being mean because he didn't know how to be anything else..... the remix contains Harry's pov, falling for Draco as insecure as he is.... and it's kind of amazing.
What was so great about the fic was MARK... I loved loved loved Mark in my story and then out of the spur of the moment, I decided to make him Charlie Weasley's love interest, even though Charlie was not in my fic.
HOWEVER,
Charlie is in Casablanca...and it is AMAZING. I don't know what I love more about Casablanca--that Harry's POV is so SPOT ON, or that Charlie and Mark are beautiful.
So what's the whole point of this post?
This is a thank you post to OAKSTONE730 for making Mark and Charlie such an integral part of her story...and here's what I have for you.
