Would you tell?

I just had an interesting conversation with a friend about people and their various attitudes toward disclosing their financial situation. She's very hesitant to talk about numbers in terms of net worth, be it amount saved, salary, even credit score. I, on the other hand, could not find a more stimulating conversation than talking about money ( ( Read more... )

Im am proud of what I do and don't care what I make. Im just happy doing what I love...I am probably in the minority however. Im not a particularly materialistic person. Thats just my opinion however...for what ever that is worth...

I seem to way more comfortable talking numbers than other people. It's just the way my family is. That said, since I caught on that other people are, as you say, squeamish, I've learned to try to feel people out to see where they lie before offering up numbers.

Yes. I've learned the hard way as well. Sigh. We should just all share the information so I can do statistical analyses and figure out the best wealth-accumulation path for all.
