Wow, I JUST finished about a boy today (on the train home) and I LOVED it! Not as much as high fidelity, but I could relate to it more.
As for Jodi Picoult, a friend of mine is a big fan of hers, and when we were recomending books for each other, she gave me my sister's keeper. I cried so fucking hard at the end I had to put the book down.

You working in a bookstore is totally reminding me of when I worked in a public library! :P

Everyone is telling me that about High Fidelity! I must read it soon :)

Today I got offered a job in Ryde library, a little too late. I really wanted that job but I love Angus and Robertson too much :)

The movie is actually pretty good too, but (as usual) the book is better.

Ryde Library...cool about the offer and all, but I think you're probably better off where you are!

The Incredible Book Eating Boy was suggested to me by the guy at the bookstore when I was asking for books starting with 'I'.
It's a kids book, isn't it? How good is it? (haven't read it).

I'm jealous of your reading, and also of your awesome job. *wishes I worked at a bookshop*

Ooh, I just finished Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. Innnnnteresting.

I hadn't heard of him before, heh. I couldn't decide on a book to borrow so a friend gave me that one.

Did you like it? That was the one I wanted to read but work didn't have it in and we had Smoke and Mirrors at home.

It was interesting. Not entirely new or surprising, an interesting writing style at points, not too pretentious, interesting enough story.

Hugh Grant = oh, isn't he dapper?
Actual Book = dear god, how frightening

My mother always calls Picoult an "airport writer" - does the latter have a clue/point?

PEACE OUT
