What "state's rights" was the south fighting for...other than the right to own slaves, of course :x

Say, if the South had won the Civil War we would be a much more liberal nation and not quite as war-mongering, having lost one.
Except we'd probably still have slaves, or extreme racism problems that make today look like a utopia. Oops. :x
