Local election results

I have just looked up my local election results and I am appalled that the BNP got only 8 votes less than the lib dems.

12% of my neighbours voted BNP!!!! - why???

I have visions of some of the locals walking round doing Hitler impressions. I think some of the old dears may already have the mustache.

They got 18.something% in my ward, but just remember that it's the percentage of the people who voted, not the percentage of people in your area. Most of your neighbours (and mine) probably didn't bother to vote, hence the awful BNP statistic.
