It would appear that my local Lib Dem candidate for the general election used to be a rocket scientist. How cool is that. (ok I know it's not strictly true but he did work at NASA).
Yay! We've got rocket science and Labour only have Balls (and I can't think of any words suitable for publication in a family newspaper to describe your Tory candidate)
The problem here is that we have had local election postal votes out already but no general election stuff. And there are only 3 candidates for the local election (labour, conservative and BNP). I'm hoping that people won't assume the local election stuff is actually for the general election. My ex (despite his faults is actually quite intelligent) didn't realise it was local election stuff he was filling in. There is a risk that people might ignore the second letter, assuming they'd already voted. There has been no coverage that there is a local election on as well.
Looking at the last votes for MP only 7000 labour supporters need to vote lib dem to remove balls smug grin. That alone would be worth it.
