So, would this be a totally unenthusiastic kind of "better than scurvy" or an enthusiastic kind of indication that Crossroads was worse than scurvy, but Knife Of Dreams may actually approach "good"?
OK, all jesting aside, it's *way* too early to tell. The Prologue is quite good, the first 16 chapters are the usual "Jordan is laying the groundwork for a BigOlHonkingBattle in the final chapters" schtick we've seen many times before. I will say it's holding my interest far better than CoT did, but that's a relatively simple matter.
