Scotty had been doing nothing but code digging for what felt like forever. Ever since the Captain had transported Spock-that-wasn’t Our Spock and Jim Kirk that wasn’t the captain of our vessel back aboard the Enterprise, Scotty had contacted Spock-that-wasn’t Our Spock and they had worked together on this. They had taken apart every bit of all the transporters (It was best to knock out any possible errors all at once, because Scotty did not want to be here again, ever.) and repaired or replaced anything that even looked like it might have been operating at less than optimal. Then Scotty had viewed the transporter logs. The most recent files were corrupted, and Not-Our-Spock had taken over with his computer programming expertise. However, a great deal of non-corrupted code (and there was McKenna’s files to read, and Transporter Tech Second Class Damon Matt’s report on McKenna’s files, and Transporter Tech First Class Ethel Wiseman’s report on Matt’s report...) still had to be checked through and checked, and that had taken the better part of Scotty’s life at moment. But that was over now, everything was fixed, and all the readings were back on perfect.
Mhm, a few days off sounded nice. Maybe he could arrange for Keenser to have some time off as well.
Back to the task at hand, Monty. He sent a message out:
