Tutorial for Photoshop CS2. Just few easy steps (Selective Color, Photo Filter and Fill Layers) =)

From
to

1. Crop your base and Sharpen if you want. ( I didn't )

2. New Selective Color Layer:
Reds: -100 ; +20 ; +100 ; -6
Yellows: -100 ; 0 ; -59 ; -37
Whites: 0 ; 0 ; 0 ; -45
Neutrals: +4 ; -20 ; -19 ; +6
Blacks: 0 ; 0 ; -6 ; 0

3. Make new Fill Layer with this color #cbd3d5. Set to Linear Burn, Opacity 24%.

4. Again make Fill Layer, but this time with this color #ababab. Set to Mutiply, Opacity 28%.

5. Now go to Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Photo Filter.
Filter: Cyan
Density: 23%
Preserve Luminosity: Tick

6. Again new Selective Color Layer:
Reds: -100 ; 0 ; +8 ; 0
Yellows: +25 ; 0 ; 0 ; 0
Cyans: 0 ; 0 ; 0 ; -20
Blues: 0 ; 0 ; 0 ; -24
Neutrals: +15 ; -6 ; -11 ; +2
Blacks: 0 ; 0 ; 0 ; +3

7. New Fill Layer with #441b1b. Set to Exclusion, Opacity 25%

If in the end, your icon looks very...blue, you can make your base more bright with Layer -> New Adjustment Layer - Hue and Saturation.
