Yeah, even the Rogues who didn't have abusive home lives seem to have not been happy :( That's obviously a contributing factor to their anti-social behaviour.

Thank you! I got pretty discouraged about writing for a while TBH, because I got so few views and feedback at AO3 and it just didn't seem like it was worth it. But I guess I'm slowly trying to get back into it again :)

Of course, Johns used that to contrast them with Wally, who also had an unhappy home life and still became a hero. Which is a pretty good comparison which shows what kind of person Wally is, but at times I felt that Johns/Wally was a bit unsympathetic to the shit they'd been through.

Unfortunately I wasn't even getting people reading my work, let alone feedback...my last fic from more than 4 months ago has just 29 views, and my fic from February has all of 38. So it's not hard to feel like it's pointless because nobody will read it anyway, and that my time is better spent elsewhere. I'll probably stop writing again once the TV season starts up, because like I said, my time is better spent doing other things. I enjoy writing, but posting fics few people read brings on genuine depression that isn't good for my mental health :\
