002 Play [Video || Action]

[Tim is out in the park with a football. He's rigged up an old tire to swing from a tree limb and he's hammering the football through the tire. He jogs out to get the football then returns to do it again. Throwing passes aren't really his thing but catching passes takes more than one person. [Ten minutes later, Derek is there in a pair of sweatpants and a tank. He offers a small grin and a nod to Tim.]

Hey. I'm Derek. Think I've seen you around.

Yeah. You're at the youth center a lot, right?

I'll play. I'm Steve.

[dillonrockstar]

[Another person to play makes Tim grin.]

Cool. I'm Tim.

[He'd been afraid that here, there wouldn't be anyone who liked football.]

Have you been here long, Tim?

Nah, just a few days. You?

[He lightly tosses the football to Steve. It's not a real pass, just sort of a toss up.]

Man, I'm just talkin' about playin' football.
