Sometimes a part of pop culture will set off a resonance in yourself, and you'll look at the source of the note and see in that what it is in you.

Like someone re-stating a fact in a different way, and suddenly you get it.

If you liked the series, I can recommend checking out the movie too.

Chronologically I think it takes place before episode 22/23.

Music in that series is good. Yôko Kanno's name appearing in an a series credits for the music is enough to make me watch it. (See Ghost in the Shell SAC, Escanflowne, Macross Plus)

Two favourite songs of hers from the Cowboy Bebop series are Blue (song played at the end of episode 26) and '(Gotta) Knock a little Harder' from the movie.
