Happy OBHWF Day!!!!

It was a year ago today that the book that made fandom asplode was released. I still remember dancing and squeeing with hippie_girl8 and rhrsoulmates. That was truly a one of a kind experience. Years later, I look back on fandom and count myself lucky that I didn't just read Harry Potter, I experienced it ( Read more... )

Can you picture telling your children and grandchildren how you were *there*? How you grew up with it, while they're just reading it for the first time. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to convey how very big it all was.

I LOVE this! It's so true and even better was that I got to also experience it with good friends who if it weren't for the fandom, I would have never had the opportunity to meet you guys!

The waiting, the anticipation, the speculation, spoiler week, actually getting everything we ever wanted and then some, squeeing in person, squeeing online, watching the fireworks, the interview of doom, watching more fireworks, and just all of it. I loved it.

I'm still loving it too and I honestly can't believe some of the "fireworks" continues to this day. Though, we're talking about the HP fandom so what am I saying? ;)

YAY for Jo! I hope she gives us MORE good dirt at the charity reading in two weeks! :D

Yep, that's one of the main things that sets HP apart for me.

Yeah, the great thing about HP fandom is, just when you think things are settling down, something *else* happens that triggers mass hysteria, and excitement.

Oh, my! I forgot about the charity reading! That should be interesting! :D

You are such a geek. But it's true.... we are experiencing it... What a trip.

Have fun at your camp thing, by the way!!! I love you!
Are you still down for Great America when you get back?
