...thank you, Morrolan-san.

It was my pleasure to assist. Unfortunately, we now must plan for the long term.

Indeed. For the indefinite future, I suppose.

It's as you say; the moogles prevent us from removing his ability to access this world, to my regret.

I know only what Mikage has done me the honor to tell me, and what I have observed.

Mmm...what has he said, so far? There may not be much more to tell you.

That he is a potent sorcerer, a military leader of high position and Mikage's murderer; for myself, I perceive that his soul is in some way divine.

That would be nearly all of it, indeed. The rest is, well...[hesitating]

Hakuren's told me something of your cosmology; I presume that the god who is Ayanami is connected to, or rules over, the beings called "Kor"?

They're known as his messengers, to be precise. Ayanami presides over a unit dedicated to the manipulation of the warsfeil, the final stage of the Kor.

*nods*

Can he colocate?

He can fight through another, but not without some connection to their soul. However...he's proven that he can do that against a person's will, as well.

I may be able to counteract such things; it depends on the precise methods he uses, of course, and how skilled he is at necromancy. And I would like to see him try it with me.

[...wait a second.]

...ah, and would necromancy be one of the skills you posses, then, Morrolan-san?

myblackwand July 11 2008, 05:30:46 UTC
It's as you say. I should explain that in the Empire, necromancy is simply that aspect of sorcery which concerns the soul, and movement between both worlds and states of existence; it's without the negative connotations I've observed it has in other worlds.

...ah. I see. Then you know?

Reply

myblackwand July 11 2008, 05:36:11 UTC
Certainly. I had assumed it was only natural, for the gods to return those who had not completed the purpose of their lives to the world.
