Hm, dead had not occurred to me. I was think more along the lines of 'brainwashed by a cult.' I debated archiving all your fics just in case you took them all down in a fit of glorious righteousness (aka raving lunacy). That I have not done so is proof of my faith in your spirit to overcome the 'thrall' of the charismatic psycho who has you in his clutches.
...I wasn't so far off... you are merely in the clutches of The Establishment, working for The Man who takes all your time and creative juices and turns you into a consumeristic zombie caught in the vicious cycle of keeping up with the Joneses. But, at least your old fics are still up.^^
