A man has described his shock at returning to his house and finding it stripped of all furnishings after it was sold without his knowledge.

Wow! That is horrible!

I keep getting phone calls and postcards from the "cash for your house" businesses. Right now house pries are booming here. My neighbors make a quick sale to one of those house flippers and the flipper turned around and sold it for twice as much.

If sales are that fast, I'd be staying home, just in case.

That's horrible! Seems to me the DVLA needs to be more careful about sending out duplicate driving licenses, and banks need to be more careful about people setting up bank accounts. And the police need to see it as fraud, as it clearly is, much earlier in the process!

And surely someone must have been sloppy somewhere for this to be possible?

That's awful! I feel so sorry for the poor guy whose home was sold without his knowledge. And it certainly is fraud, on the part of the fake seller for sure!
