Would it be too rude to enquire as to the cost of such an extensive jouney dear Dimpet?

The international flights will cost about $4500. The internal flights $1000-1500.
Accomadation and Food are extra, but i am staying with friends a lot and food is cheap in india and brazil where i will be most of the time.

I have an extra bed in my dorm room in Iowa! I doubt you want to travel 5 extra hours just for free lodging though :-P

I won't have a car, is there trains buses?
