Having trouble with the Film & Affect paper? Sorry to hear that, if that's the case. I finished up my research this afternoon, and churned out fifteen pages thus far. Hopefully she doesn't mind fifteen pages of pseudo-philosophical rambling and five or six pages of detailed analysis of two minutes of film! :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Geza. :) I'm sure your pseudo-philosophical rambling is brilliant! I'm just about at the fifteen page mark, too, but I'm still trying to figure out how to re-order all the material in a way that flows well. I wish I could retain the structure of my seminar, where it was like: "Okay, topic A is like this, see. [Various examples, digression, digression, digression.] And topic B, now that's a doozy! [Various examples, digression, digression, digression.] And somehow, A and B fit together to form a totally interesting understanding of the film! But really, they don't fit together perfectly, 'cause the structure's complex. It's, like, post-structural, y'know? [Digression, digression, new idea I haven't fully developed yet.] And that's as far as I've gotten."

Anyhow, I wish you luck with yours as well!

oh, i remember that feeling!! i don't really miss it, i have to say. though i do miss (a little) having people whose job it was to solicit my thoughts and read them.
