-the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack

i've never seen Velvet Goldmine and now I think I really need to.

You really must! I've had a VHS copy from Anna for a long time, but my dying VCR sadly had issues with it. I have recently acquired the DVD, though, so we absolutely must watch it together at some point. Reading Week, maybe?

Probably "The Ballad of Maxwell Demon," closely followed by "Hot One". You?

Those two are up there, definitely -- especially the former. I love the swagger and strut of it, and I am absolutely mesmerised by Jonathan Rhys Meyers's performance of it in the movie (even if his vocal, while solid, is not quite as good as magical as that of the lead singer of Shudder to Think). "The Whole Shebang" is really fun, too.
