Ok, so on the "current music" section on some of your posts I have seen Get Up Kids, The Juliana Theory, Thrice, and At The Drive In. Your band has a song about how awful emo is and how much you hate it. This journal seems to say otherwise. So basically, your band is bullshit because you don't write about things that YOU feel. You write about what you think the punk music scene wants to hear. It seems like you sold out without having anything to show for it. Dave L. likes emo too. You two are in the same boat. I'll let you defend yourself now.

haha this sounds like brandon. its just a song, i play drums...i don't write songs. i like the song, i like the construction of the song and all the parts in it, it is a good song. the lyrics, so what, jared wrote the lyrics, and i think they are well written...he's a good writer. and wether i listen to emo or not, doesn't mean it doesn't suck. its typical that emo fans would go and get "emo" over just a song. be a man, grow up, and get over the damn song already. yeah i like alot of bands, but i don't really necessarily care about the lyrics...get up kids...i love that they are nice and melodic and the drummer is really good. at the drive in is probably my favorite band, but i hate when they are considered emo. i think they are above being apart of you're stupid emo scene. they are amazing artists. emo, punk, rock...i like it all, because i'm a musician and i listen to music, not lyrics. i like get up kids for they're music, they are really good artists. thrice, once again, they are really good and i love the music. the

Devan did not write the Say Nothing song about how awful emo is. Never-the-less, even if they perform that song, who's to say it has to be about how they feel? Perhaps it's something they find funny. Are all songs about how people feel? For example, do you think The Misfits really wanted to collect people's skulls and kill people? Man, they must be sellouts too! You're an idiot.
