Long Day

Apr 01, 2010 00:18

So I managed to mess up big today. I completely forgot about meeting my uncle to return his battery. He waited for me for an hour in my driveway. Right now I am trying to get my schedule under control. I've been spreading myself too thin and have recently discovered that I am not superwoman anymore. My mom is worried about me and Xavier of ( Read more... )

Yes, I remember when you bumped your head Joyce. :p

Joyce, dear, I would sub for you in a minute if I could. As long as it's not a Wednesday, Julie doesn't have class. Sue doesn't have class that hour, either. I think Steve is open at 1:00, though he isn't as interested in subbing. All of those people have 094 classes shortly before yours.

We talked about this yesterday, that you don't like to have subs. Part of it is your work ethic, and part of it is your feelings about being a teacher. You also pointed out that we both have available hours to take time off, and that nobody (particularly not Phil) is going to look down on either of us for taking time. You've even got one hour free, if your leave balance is at 6.

I care about you very much. So does jennilee_rose. I like helping you relax, making things easier for you, and making you happy. While I can't cover your class for you, I can try to be supportive in other ways. I can also remind you that our department is pretty supportive of one another, and someone who is available would take your class for you to let you rest ( ... )

Also, I encourage your venting: here on LiveJournal, in person to me or other friends, whatever. If you're worried about the world seeing it, lock it down to a narrower audience; that's easy to do in LiveJournal. Not being able to vent only makes your stress levels get under more pressure.

I agree with this. I need to post more too and stop bottling up all of my stress too.

Mr. numbers (because I'm too lazy to copy the numbers out, but not too lazy to type this long explanation out - go figure) has some very good advice about venting.
I encourage you taking a mental health day off. I think that doing so will help PREVENT a trip to the insane asylum. No one can run endlessly on fumes, you need time to recharge and refuel.
Joyce comes first. Practice with me, "No I can't do ." No is a beautiful word. Be more selfish. :) Again, Joyce comes first, and by putting Joyce first you will be better able to serve those who need you.
*HUGS!*
