Busy Day

So I am actually procrastinating from the vast amount of cleaning that really needs done and the job application that needs finished. Rog and I went to a double feature at the drive in yesterday. The movies were good, but he managed to annoy me royally once again. Xavier was with us because he was being punished. Yes, I know for many kids going to ( Read more... )

Boys just aren't cut out for parenting. Even Jet who has been a single father for over a decade - they all suck at sacrifices, it's just not in their nature. (And I am not saying that Jet is a bad dad, but he's not the BEST, and he certainly can't do both the mom & dad roles - though he has tried, and he has scraped by on his own for so long.)
That said, tell Roger that if he wants to keep a sane wife and a decent life at home to return to after work, friends, and the lodge then he damned well BETTER give you ONE day off a week. That means he watches Xavier, takes him to the park whatever while you do whatever you want at home - clean, take a hot bath, sleep. Whatever. Just one night. He can manage that.

*hugs*

I did force Roger to spend some time with Xavier this evening after he got back from lodge. You know the first thing he did after eating was go straight to the damn computer. Seriously right? I think I shall take you up on your suggestion and make him give me a night off every week. It's the least he could do.

Oh I feel your pain, especially after last night. I got home from work and the boys hadn't eaten and Jet was just leaving work. I immediately started making dinner and everyone, including Jet who got home when I was halfway through cooking - took and ate their food before I even got a chance to sit down at the table. I was hungry too, but they were all thinking of themselves. I don't blame the boys so much though, they were hungry and they helped me make dinner. I told them they could eat while I was still cooking. Jet just walked in complained about the smoke, yelled at me for not having the fan on above the stove (which I did), took his plate, devoured everything and then started yelling at the boys for things that weren't their fault.
He did apologize later, but sometimes these men need a kick in the pants.
