Weight loss motivation

So, in an effort to encourage my weight loss efforts, I pulled out the measuring tape. The results were rather disturbing for me. My chest, not a surprising 55" since it has never been smaller then 50" that I know of. However, my waist and hips were the more shocking and disappointing measurements. 47-57 doesn't sound massive an gigantic to me. :(

I am comparing those numbers to what I was when I was pregnant. My waist was actually only 45 at that point and it was full of baby.

1) You can do it!
2) 1900 calories is GREAT! (One of the caloric calculators I use says that you should eat in the calories the weight you want to be, plus a zero at the end. I should aim for 1450... not going to happen anytime soon, heh.)
3) You can definitely do it!

Thank you my wonderful Pam! My dieticians say the same thing. Since I am shooting for 180-200 lbs, I should eat between 1800 and 2000 calories a day. But since my weight is currently so high, I can eat 2500 calories and still lose weight. Albeit much more slowly. Apparently, I killed my metabolism by dropping my caloric intake to 1200 calories a day without consulting my doctor first. :-( Cutting junk out of my diet has helped a lot. I've cut almost all sugar out of my diet barring the two servings of fruit I'm allowed a day and I've been careful to watch the size of my fruit portions too. A large apple has as many calories as a candy bar. How crazy is that? I really appreciate the support. Knowing that someone else has faith in me helps. :-D And you are the beautiful one, inside and out. Hopefully, I'll get to see you soon (crazy schedule as I'm sure you can appreciate).
