Appearance: Standing at around 5'5", Gokudera is a little short for his age and is quite slim, but well built. Silver hair frames his face, parted in the center, and flicking out at the ends. His ozone green eyes are almost always narrowed in a scowl or glare.
Gokudera can almost always be found in casual clothing, often layering shirts and t-shirts. The clothing he's brought to the House in is a turquoise t-shirt with three quarter length sleeves, with a black short sleeved, zip-up shirt over it, a pair of black trousers and black loafers - two belts with boxes attached around them, a number of rings and wrist bands complete the outfit.
Personality: Simply, Gokudera is brash, loud and has almost zero social skills. He can be very irrational and quick to lose his temper, becoming very loud when something annoys him. He also has a problem with trusting people and working together with people, much preferring to go it alone rather than shae the burden and run the risk of other people messing things up or working below his standard.
When it comes to fighting, Gokudera is constanly pushing himself to his limits, striving to cross his own boundaries and better himself. He is intelligent; his weapons, dynamite and the Sistema C.A.I, require him to fight based on strategy and he is always developing his skills. His desire to become stronger previously meant he even disregarded his own life, though he came to understand that he had to be aware of his own life as well, or else what was the point.
Despite initial understanding of his character, he is also shown to have another side to him. Gokudera has been shown to display trust and friendship and a fierce loyalty, originally only to Tsuna (to whom he has often become a burden by forcing himself on to) but lately there have been hints of him developing a trust and kind of friendship with some of the other Vongola Guardians. He has also admitted to having feelings of fear and some realisation of the effects his attitude has.
History: Gokudera was born the illegitimate child of a Mafia boss and a Japanese pianist. Because illegitimate children were not tolerated in the Mafia, he was lead to believe his sister's mother was his own and knew his real mother only as a piano teacher. It wasn't until he was eight, five years after the death of his mother in a suspicious car accident, that he discovered the truth and subsequently fled from home.
After running away from home, Gokudera spent years trying to join a Mafia family, but due to his heritage, no-one was willing to accept him. Hearing of the person in line to be the Tenth boss of the Vongola family, he came to Japan to test him; after being beaten and saved by Tsuna, he pledged his life to him.
During the conflict with the Kokuyo gang and Mukuro, Gokudera was severely injured in his confrontation with Chikusa, but managed to pull through. He later defeated both Ken and Chikusa with the help of Hibari.
While training for his fight in the Vongola ring conflict, Gokudera came to understand the importance of his own life and developed his rocket bomb technique. Though he lost the battle after giving up the ring to save himself. However, Tsuna wins the final battle and he becomes the Vongola Storm Guardian.
In the future arc, Gokudera appeared in the future to find that Tsuna is dead and the world is practically under the control of the Millefiore. Gokudera and Yamamoto suffered a defeat at the hands of Gamma, a member of Millefiore's Black Spell, due to their own differences (Gokudera wanted to fight alone while Yamamoto thought they should work together) and were barely saved by Hibari. While recovering, Gokudera admits to Tsuna that their defeat was his fault and. Later, while the team trains, Gokudera gives up working with his sister and disappears for a while; when he is next seen, he has developed a new technique left behind by his future self - the Sistema C.A.I. During the raid on the Millefiore base, he fights Gamma, and this time with his new weapon he wins; however, during his final attack he is transported to this world.
