I wouldn't be a "lame faceless internet qualifier" if I were there though. I've been playing poker for 10 years now, albeit a lot more seriously as of late. I'm more talking about people who learned on the internet, show up to the WSOP and happen to get cards for the duration of it. Take for example 2003 champ Chris Moneymaker - He was an internet qualifier who won the main event and hasn't done anything notable since (though he's an instant celebrity because of that win). He's not considered a top pro and his victory looks more like a fluke than anything, so I'd much rather see the World Championship go to a pro who's perhaps more deserving. In the end, the player who makes the right moves, and gets cards is going to win, I'd just rather see an established pro who's earned his keep win it personally. Just my thing.
