The McGill bookstore is a fucking fraud

A full update will follow once my mom sends me those pictures she took of my place. If you're going to do something, you might as well do it right.

Suffice it to say, I'm back in Montreal and loving it.

Ack. Don't use the bookstore. Use the SSMU used book bazaar. It starts tomorrow, and you can name the price of the books you want to sell. The commission is only $1, regardless of how much you want for the book. Oh, and tell all your friends. :-p

Yeah, these buy-back things suck. Once i returned a volume of four medical books from the 60s or 70s (in mint condition), plus a book on reading signatures, and got a shitty $6 bucks for it from a used bookstore. I just wanted to get rid of them, so I accepted the dough anyway. I regret it now. I should have kept the medical books.

Oh, I feel your pain. I have my Russian textbook from last year, and I figured I'd see what I could get for it, since they're still using the same edition. I paid over $100 for the textbook/workbook package, and they'd only give me $6.25. Jerks.

Nope. At least, not yet. I'm going to apply for a job with the McGill Welcome Centre leading campus tours all year. This should be fun.
