catching up on the last half of the semester

Okay, this isn't how I planned to spend my Monday but it seems our new roommate stole my keys this morning and that means I can't really leave the house until she gets back.  So what better reason to finally update my livejournal?  And man do I need to catch up.  In our last installment I was faking a discussion question on my blog for the upcoming ( Read more... )

Holy cats your Halloween costume was incredible! You should hang on to it in case you ever have a costume party emergency. (Also, do you mind if I show Mom? Maleficient is her favorite Disney character.

Everything else sounds great! I did enjoy reading the details of your holiday, I promise. Really. I guess I shouldn't have compared it to dreams, because these holiday details were interesting to at least one other person than yourself, haha.

totally show mom. i was pretty pleased with how well the headpiece turned out. you know i love felt art!
the only reason we even have a picture is because other people remember things like cameras.

No, Daddy, it is perfectly acceptable to say "how fun" something is, simply describing rather than suggesting an amount of fun. And I refer to finals (the plural) as a singular event. There are other examples of collective nouns that sound plural but can be taken as either a single entity or as individual members of the group.
