pre-emptive delay excuses

Hello! It may take a little longer to get this week's recap out (again). Not because I have anything better to do today, but because this episode and I have had some...issues, and it has taken a LOT of sugar to even get to the point where I can even hit play and watch it again. Later, at a more acceptable time, there will be wine on hand to assist ( Read more... )

I'm way behind on Merlin...like, two seasons behind. But am now so curious to know what happens that's so terrible in this ep!

You have a niece?! Those are the coolest books ever. I kind of want them.

Also, love the Teen Wolf purchases! I just finished the first season plus ep one of season two. So good!

Hahaha, the most depressing thing is that, two season behind, you haven't even missed any story development. And there is a least a few years time skip included in that! Wait, I guess that Arthur is king and married to Gwen, maybe that's new, but it doesn't really affect anything at all. And now Mordred is a knight because he grew up hot and Arthur couldn't resist and this week he was dying because Arthur and the knights were massive douches. So Arthur went to bargain with these seer witch ladies for his new boytoy's life and they were all, "Only if you let magic back in Camelot. We'll give you the night around the campfire with your OLD boytoy to think it over." And Arthur couldn't make up his mind, so he asked Merlin to make it up for him. And Merlin doesn't want Mordred to live because he knows Mordred will kill Arthur at the end of the season so he told Arthur that magic would never have a place in Camelot and Arthur was all okay then. IT WAS A BIG DEAL. There was much crying as Merlin gave up his dreams to save the love of his ( ... )

Oh yay! I haven't read all of this one yet, since it hasn't arrived, but I can't wait. I also got a book about a princess who goes on an adventure to save a prince, only to have the prince turn around and diss her clothes and unprincessy actions. Then she realises she doesn't need a prince to be an awesome princess anyway, and kicks his whiny ass to the curb. Or something like that. It's sounds fantastic.

Yeah, the new Merlin episode is depressing. I don't think all the sugar in the world is going to get me to watch that again.

That Pride and Prejudice baby book is so adorable! Those proposals are hilarious! 'Marry me' 'No'!

Ugh, I am only half way through and it is taking a lot to remain upbeat. Ice cream resources have been depleted. I love my fun, silly show but it's not that I refuse to accept the darker and more tragic turn, it's just that I would like it to make more sense when it goes there.

Hee, they are the cutest. I love Mr Collins & Lizzy the best, where he just assumes they will marry and she is very emphatically refusing him. <3 The books are obviously more for the parents than the kids, but too cute to resist.

NO, BLAME AMAZON FOR THE BOOKS TOOOOO! IT'S ALL THEIR FAULT I GOT THEM. THEY WERE PART OF THE 4 FOR 3 PROMOTION AND EVERYTHING. <--- so not helping. :D

And I think more people should get the wolf with the DVD and book so Amazon will be like, people who bought this also bought this, and everyone will think Teen Wolf fandom is full of creepy plushiephiles it will be hilarious.

It will be hilarious!!!

God, I think I watched the first 2 episodes in a delirious state a few weeks back. but I don't remember ANYTHING. I watched a lot of Hunted yesterday while doing SOMETHING and I don't remember what I did or what I watched. My brain just switches off these days. :(

Anyhoo. AMAZON! DEVIL! The books are adorable but I don'T have any use for them other than to look at them myself. Kids here don'T count in english. So it would be a total waste. SEEMS I DO HAVE TO MOVE SOMEDAY! I will let Rchard decide where to once we are married.

YES. THAT IS THE STATE OF ME THESE DAYS. It is all HOBBITRICHARDRICHARDHOBBITHOBBITRICHARDFUTUREHUSBANDUNFHOBBITISITDECEMBER14THYET????
SORRY. I might need a brain transplant. SEND HELP!

Teen Wolf is one of those shows where you just have to power through the first few episodes before it gets good. I mean, I loved from the start because, let's face it, I LOVE bad TV (if it's good-bad TV, if that makes sense). So basically I was just watching and laughing and then suddenly, half way through the first season, found myself completely smitten and FULL OF FEELS without warning. It seems to be quite common.

Oh, I saw an ad for Hunted but haven't checked it out yet. There is so much to watch these days!

I cannot help with the brain transplant, sorry. My brain was taken over by various fandoms long ago - it's something we just have to live with. Sometimes, wine can help.

Oh, you mean you have issues with the 'why did Merlin ever bother to do anything at all - even way back at the start of season 1 - if everything was just going to turn out the same for Arthur no matter what' episode? I can't imagine why. Do the writers actually think about what they write before they put it on paper or are they just collecting their paychecks? I don't even worry about the reveal anymore, since it's never going to happen, but it's interesting to see that they like to dangle the possibility out there every now and then to keep us hooked. I thought Arthur was already the 'king he was meant to be' because Camelot's had peace all this time, and the whole thing's supposed to end when Mordred shows up to kill him, so how can he still have more kingly things to do? And it's gotta end because this is supposed to be the last season, supposedly. I don't get it.

Ugh, yes, that is exactly what I mean. I get that Arthurian legend is a tragedy, and if they want to go down that route, that's fine. But it has to make SENSE. I'm willing to cut the fun and silly plots a lot more slack BECAUSE they're fun and silly. They can't just decide, okay, now our story is going to be mature without ensuring their storytelling is also at the same level of maturity ( ... )

I want a stuffed wolf. I have the DVD (yay Sanity having sales and letting me indulge in that and S1 of Suits as well), and now I have to search for the books apparently...

Yay! I love that I can return to LJ and everyone is into the same show. It's comforting in a way. Though I haven't yet watched Suits. It's on the list - maybe I'll see if the DVDs are still on sale somewhere...

The wolf, though slightly impractical, is proving to be an excellent companion and very good at absorbing all those Teen Wolf feels that come from rewatches or reading fic. I'm considering leaving such a review on Amazon. Ahem.

There's only one book so far. I haven't read it yet, but I flicked to a random page and saw that Stiles and Derek were working together, so it's gotta be worth locating. I recognise the author from the Buffy books, I think.
