Where you finding Ar-15s for 2Gs? They're like $800 round these parts. Pussy caliber though. After the .308 american military weapons lost they're american edge. I mean shit, we use .223 and 9mm.
Well, a good AR with the features I want is between 1200 and 1500, but I want some accessories too, a good optical sight, extra mags, mag holders, a light, sling... It adds up, and anyway, even if it all costs 1500 total, if someone gives me 2k, I'm not gonna argue.
I hear you on the caliber. The only reason I'd go with a .223 AR rather than anything else is that .223 is cheap as dirt. I shoot a .45 auto pistol, and brass prices aren't ever going down.
Where are those parts? I've been poking around on the internet, looking at Bushmaster, HK, and Wilson, but not too seriously. I wonder why they're cheaper down your way.
I'm guessing its 'cause I'm living in a military town and there are weird gun laws in Georgia. I guess if you want the whole kit and kabootle you're gonna pay around 1200. I'm more of a bare bones weapon kind of guy. Less things to go wrong. I'm not a huge fan of the AR-15 since basic. Out of the 50 rounds I put through mine 7 jammed bending up the shell casings. I popped 'em back in fired 'em anyway but there's no way the damn things flew straight after that. I got 42 out of 50, one under expert. Such a sad day.
