You -will- be better off, and you know it, too. =o I guess it'll just appear like ya miss it and whatnot- but later on, after graduation and whatnot, you'll realize that it was a step forward for yourself. Whether or not it is any improvement/growth in your "friends'" part is no concern for you- the best you can do is just wish them well, and start to act for yourself. =)

Not quite sure what your interview is exactly- but, i bet its more important than a friends' grad celebration at hurricane harbor. You can always find others, anyway, heh =p (Whether or not thats before/after the year's over- beats me)
