dude! you're so lucky you live in chicago. you know why? cause it's the same city as my favourite fox reality program - starting over! if i were you and lived in chicago, i'd go and stalk those women in the starting over house.
it's a funny thing, getting out. my whole life I wanted out of slc. I'm sure you can relate- it's so small, nothing to do, no where to go, bad beer etc.
then I got out. and I miss EVERYTHING. and I mean everything. I miss knowing the store owners, I miss the scene, I miss kilby court, I miss 300 s (I lived there, the clairmont- across from Sages. It';s a great neighborhood and I miss it!!)
it's so weird being gone, but I cannot wait to go back and vivst for spring break. I am positive I will be bored out of my mind, but it's comforting to know how to get everywhere and have friends all over. oh boy, is it ever. but I am lucky I did get out.
Actually, the Clairmont is a place I was looking at moving into this summer. Salt Lake City does kick ass, no matter what anybody ever says. Some aspects about it suck, just like any city. In general, though, the atmosphere is truly unique. Wanting to leave isn't necessarilly due to the environment itself, but rather from a desire to experience something different. I think in the end, however, I'll always come back to SLC.
"I think in the end, however, I'll always come back to SLC."
sadly, agreed.
the clairmont is awesomeawesomeawesome. kind of a dump, in the BEST fucking way!!! $410/month all utilities except electricity. not a bad place. Also, I saw a gang fight across the street once. IT WAS AWESOME. I love that neighborhood more than anything. the yellowing building on the corner of 300 south and 500 east is my alltime favorite apartment building in slc and some day I will live there. oh now I want to be back for summer!
