I was just talking with V and remembered seeing the monarch butterflies in the eucaliptus trees outside of santa barbara cal.

are they this time of year? has anyone seen them before ?

yes you too dennis, even tho thats kinda cheatin since you live there, you'd better say lately.

Oh yes I have seen butterflies...........zillions of them and not just in Santa Barbara.......they are all along the coastal areas. They were very prevelanet about 2-3 weeks ago. We have had a weird wether year. The migratory patterns of birds is messed up and I suspect it it similar for the butterflies.

Except for the heavy rain season and the dead heat of summer, you can almost always see some butterflies at the northern end of Goleta...immediatly north of Santa Barbara.
