Thunder and Lightning

Summary: Jonghyun was scared of thunder
Crack. The loud pang of thunder sounded throughout the dorm and there was a short flash of light. Jonghyun woke with a start at the first pang, his heart racing and his mind muddled. He sat, frozen, until the next crash met his ears. His body started trembling and his hands shook as they pulled back his covers and he almost collapsed as he stood because his knees were wobbling so badly.
He was now fully awake and aware of what was going on around him, the others still deeply immersed in dreamland and completely unaware of the continuous thunder echoing throughout the dorm. His heart still thrumming against his chest, he climbed into the bed of the only person he relied on in situations like this.
He was quiet as he climbed up the bunk steps to where Key was sleeping. He gently prodded the younger boy awake with an impatient finger, knowing that the boy was a light sleeper and was most likely already awake and waiting.
He was right. Key turned around almost immediately and lifted his covers up in invitation. Jonghyun smiled gratefully and climbed into the warmth slightly calming down as it enveloped him and small arms wrapped around his waist.
Just as he was getting comfortable though, another shock of thunder sounded and he immediately tensed his heart regaining it’s previous speed.
Feeling his fear, Key reached a hand up and smoothed it through the singer’s hair knowing that this would calm his fear, if only slightly. Jonghyun leaned into the touch and he felt himself calm again.
“Thanks.” he whispered so as not to wake the others and Key merely nodded and kept stroking his hair.
The two stayed like that, in each others arms whispering about meaningless things to keep the shorter boy’s mind off of his phobia.
The thunder didn’t die down for another two hours, but with Key’s help, Jonghyun had no trouble falling back to sleep.
A/N- I really need to learn how to expand my writing don't I? All my stuff seems like it is really short:( I'll work on it I promise. For now, you'll have to deal with my crappy, short drabbles:/ Either way, enjoy and comment^^
