Breeding Maxis Sims

Apr 15, 2011 15:09

Okay, so I needed to whip up some new Sims for a planned 1175 story arc (yes, I know, it isn't even 1174 yet). Anyway, I figured I'd make quick work of it by using some of the backed up Maxis Sims I have in my Sim bin, make them over and breed them. So, I re-purposed Don Lothario and Nina Caliente to suit my needs:

wow...he does look sad but not bad at all! Long LONG ago I bred a couple of the premades. The kids always looked horrible. Breeding Don to something I made with a rounder face resulted in great looking kids though. The one you got looks very good.

Oh wow! Now that you mention it, I think they have the same mouth!

But yeah, looking like 'Rigo is never a bad thing for male Sims ;)

Thanks! He did turn out rather better than I expected. Don and Nina both have rather good-looking facial features compared to most of the premades--Don in kind of the "nice-yet-boring Face Two" way and Nina in the "more interesting but be picky about mates" way. The last time I played Pleasantview, Nina had three kids with three different men. Her son with Don was quite handsome. Her sons with the other two guys... err, not so much.

Although really, you'd think all the freaky-looking Veronaville toddlers I have hanging around right now would have scared me away from breeding the premades. I'm glad I did it this time, though. This Sim is really starting to grow on me :)

Good Job on the premade breeding. CAS create-a-baby has the advantage that you get to pick the one that turns out best as an adult. :D
I never got around to breeding pre-mades as extras. Maybe I'll try it sometime.

Thanks :)

Yeah, CAS does have that unfair advantage. I'm debating making a born-in-game sibling just for the sake of comparison.

Breeding the premades can be fun, but some of them do have some rather bizarre features. It's an interesting experiment, though :)

My first though was of 'Rigo too! And as you say, that's never a bad thing ;)

I must have used some of those features when I made the Sims I derived Vinicio and Carmena from :P
