Since I have received the Deluxe Scrabble board for Christmas from Mom and sis there has been much ado about spelling. Asmenoth killed us with mongoose, and earned the 50 point bonus. Greenskinjunky keeps lobbying to include squig as an acceptable word under "house rules."

Scrabble makes me angry.

'Ax' is an acceptable spelling of 'Axe', and worse yet it is considered to be more correct.. :-/

This makes me sad

Tasha: Ax is an acceptable spelling

Tasha: ... (goes and looks it up)
Me: ... (goes and looks it up)
Tasha: See? Oxford english dictionary, merriam webster, and american heritage all say that not only is Ax acceptable, it is also more correct. 'Axe' only came into being in the 19th century, along with 'Taxe' and 'Shoppe'.
Me: ... it's still retarded
